J’ai apprécié ce roman pour sa description du bord de mer irlandais, et la découverte de l’ostréiculture. Fiona arrive en Irlande suite à des circonstances personnelles particulières, révélées peu à peu. Son histoire ainsi que celle de Sean se lient également, et il est agréable de lire leur histoire. Note : 16/20.

Ce roman a gagné le prix The Goldsboro Books Contemporary Romantic Novel Award avec la Romantic Novelists’ Association, cette année. A la lecture des résultats de la cérémonie de l'association j’ai souhaité lire ce roman. Sue Moorcroft ayant écrit de nombreux ouvrages. J’ai été très agréablement surprise. L’histoire est intéressante, et permet au lecteur de s’évader au bord de l’océan ! Certaines intrigues tirent un peu en longueur, mais la fin de l’histoire rattrape l’ensemble. C’est agréable, iodé, et sexy. Note : 20/20.

Un roman agréable, centré autour de la librairie. C'est un hymne à l'amour des romans et de la lecture. Le livre est divisé en divers chapitres avec un personnage lié de près ou de loin à Nightingale Books. Ce n'est donc pas une romance à proprement parler (bien qu'il y en ait mais cela n'est pas l'élément principal). Cette narration m'a surprise, je m'attendais à ce que ne soit uniquement l’histoire d'Emilia. Note : 17/20.

*Sarah is doing just fine. Sure she's been single for the last five years, and has to spend an uncomfortable amount of time around her ex-boyfriend, his perfect new girlfriend and all their mutual friends. And yes, her job as a PA to one of the most disgusting men in London is mind-numbingly tedious and her career is a constant disappointment to her mother. But it's really okay. She's happy (ish). But it's not surprising that when Sarah starts dreaming about a handsome stranger, she begins to look forward to falling asleep every night. Reality isn't nearly as exciting. That is until her dream-stranger makes an unexpected real-life appearance, leaving Sarah questioning everything she thought she wanted. Because no one ever really finds the person of their dreams... do they?

Un roman un peu barré, avec les rêves fous de Sarah qui se joignent à la réalité. Cela devient amusant pour le lecteur ! J'ai moins aimé les moments avec son ex-petit-ami, qui ne méritait pas tant d'attention selon moi. L'histoire de Sarah et de l'homme de ses rêves est agréable. Des lourdeurs et des longueurs rendent l'histoire longuette, bien qu'elle soit convenable. Note : 13/20.

*Dans les années 90, Justine, vingt-cinq ans, rêve d’une grande histoire d’amour. Elle tombe éperdument amoureuse d’Alex, mais vingt ans plus tard, c’est avec son frère, Nicolas, qu’on la retrouve mariée et mère de deux enfants. Elle vit un bonheur tranquille, jusqu’au jour où Nicolas est licencié et plonge irrémédiablement.

Une histoire intéressante, qui est divisée en plusieurs parties. La partie la mieux travaillée selon moi et réussie, fût le licenciement de Nicolas. Il se retrouve sans emploi, à près de 50 ans. Tout ce que l'on peut ressentir, et vivre en tant que chercheur d'emploi est bien décrit. Même si son histoire va trop loin au final. Sa relation avec Justine est particulière, et devient peu à peu destructrice. Néanmoins, des pans de l'histoire moderne sont incorporées au récit (certaines sont de trop) et rendent l'histoire attrayante. Note : 14/20.
